The New York Produce Exchange. Referred to as the "P.X.", the New York Produce Exchange ( shown here c. 1900 ) was the leading export market for wheat, cotton-seed oil, flour and lard. It gave its name to a form time charter party contract. The old building at 2 Broadway was considered an architectural masterpiece in its time, featuring an enormous skylighted hall. It was torn down in 1959 to make way for an office building. [ Continued ]
