Victor S. Cichanowicz

(1918 - 1987) was a graduate of Fordham University and Fordham Law School. Given a choice between trying out for the Boston Celtics and practicing law, he chose law. After a stint at the firm of Kirlin Campbell & Keating, he went into partnership with Byron King Callan in 1960 to form Cichanowicz & Callan. Mr. Cichanowicz specialized in maritime personal injury cases. His landmark case was Crumady v. The J. H. FISSER, 358 U.S. 423 (1959), which he argued and won before the U.S. Supreme Court.
